We got an earlier start this morning. We had a longer drive today so we got an earlier start.
BooBoo was active this morning as he sat up front with me and Hubby.

We pull into the KOA around 2:30 pm. We got escorted to our site. It’s a good thing we got escorted because our site was at the section the furthest from the reservations office/camp store.

This KOA is a Journey so the camp store is not as elaborate as a KOA Holiday. The swimming pool is not open yet.

Our site is gravel and not level.

This campground seems to be nice but none of the sites look level. Our site was not level. It is level side to side but not front to back. It took every bit of the leveling jacks in the front to level the rig. This caused a problem with our slides. Our kitchen slide opened very slowly and the other side stopped half way open. Apparently, the leveling jacks used a lot of hydraulic fluid. And apparently, we were low on hydraulic fluid. I sent Hubby to a store to buy hydraulic fluid. I added the fluid to the Hydraulic container and astoundingly, the slides worked. YAY!

Cicadas

I found this using google:
This year, though, will be a rare event. Two groups — known as “broods” — are waking up during the same season. There will likely be billions, if not trillions, of the insects. According to NPR, the last time these two broods emerged at the same time was in 1803.

The Cicadas were so loud. Hubby said the noise they were making was driving him crazy. lol. Good thing we did not hear the cicadas noise inside. The noise is hard to describe. The noise that cicadas make is described as a loud, buzzing or clicking sound. The sound can vary in intensity and pitch depending on the species of cicada and environmental conditions. Right now there are two species in this area.

This KOA has a nice pond. Other than the sites being very un-level, it is a nice campground. But I will not stay here again. Having a rig our size, un-level sites are a pain in the butt.

May the light of faith guide your journey. Thank you for being a part of mine. I look forward to sharing more with you in future posts. God Bless and Stay Safe!
