Travel Day #1

I am an early bird. Hubby is not. I did most of the securing last night. I still had the kitchen inside to secure. I got up early and got a head start on the kitchen. I told Hubby we were not in a hurry so he could sleep in. We didn’t have to leave until between 11 am and noon. We were only driving a short 150 miles. After I finished securing the Kitchen, I went outside and disconnected our Dish Satellites. Everything is in our shed.

Everything went smooth this morning. I put in the slides. We unhooked the water, sewer, electricity. We hooked up the truck. Raised the leveling jacks and quietly exited the park.

We took a break when we reached Chiefland. We found a fuel station that had parking spaces that fit our rig. I checked out the front of the truck and the front of the 5th wheel. It was covered with “Lovebugs”.

The pups are good riders. BooBoo is a lap dog. He falls asleep on my lap. Benji and Bella sleep in the back seat. Note: They are tethered in.

We are spending one night at Perry KOA. This is the fourth time we’ve stayed here. It is a perfect stopover when traveling. We always get a pull-thru and the sites are so level we never have to unhitch. The price is right.

This is a nice park. Each times we’ve stayed here, we always stay in the same site. These sites are just level regular sites without amenities. Some sites have full patios. Some have wooden adult swings. Some sites have fenced in personal dog areas with grills, table and chairs inside of the fenced in area. They do have a pool and hot tub.

I took a walk around the park. A group of people talked to me. Florida people are friendly.

It is hot today, but at least the winds are not like they were this morning in Webster. I just checked my “WIND” app and it is still windy in Webster.

May the light of faith guide your journey. Thank you for being a part of mine. I look forward to sharing more with you in future posts. God Bless and Stay Safe!
