1 Days Until We Leave, 9 Days Until We Arrive

It’s been a busy several days getting ready to pull out. Yesterday was the last day I worked my campworking job this snowbird season. Wednesday, Hubby washed the Big Boy Truck and I helped Hubby wash one side of the 5th wheel. Yesterday, we finished washing the 5th wheel.

We also put up our deck.

We love our deck for many reasons. 1. Our pups love going outside and they are not in the grass rolling around in crap or getting bit by those red ants that have ant mounds everywhere. We also spray these ant mounds and the spray is not good for dogs. 2. It is more enjoyable for us to sit on the deck. This past snowbird season, the weather was not the best so we did not sit on the deck much. A few times we had to put the deck up due to high winds and storms.

One thing about Florida that I am not a fan of are the bugs. Weird bugs that I’ve never seen before.

One bug I have seen before is the “Lovebug”.

Lovebugs, notorious for their midair mating, are typically rampant twice a year: Once in late April and May and again in late August and September.

I think it was two years ago that on our way north, we drove through a swarm of Lovebugs and they were all over the front of the 5th wheel. We were fortunate enough to drive through a storm with pouring down rain that washed these crazy bugs off of the 5th wheel. I’m hoping this does not happen again.

May the light of faith guide your journey. Thank you for being a part of mine. I look forward to sharing more with you in future posts. God Bless and Stay Safe!

  1. Ugh! Love Bugs!!!! What a mess they make of vehicles as people drive through the slow moving swarms.
