My Home Away From Home in the Winter!

March 24, 2024

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

The Clubhouse and Pool areas are awesome. This is just one of the “goods”. Most of the people here are awesome people. There are a handful of people that I had to admit, I do not want to associate with. I do not like drama and people that complain on social media. Life is too short and if you are not happy here, you have wheels on your rig. Good Bye!

One of the “Uglies” is gopher and gopher holes. We notified the reservation office and they had a worker come right out and take care of this problem.

Another one of the Uglies” are these poisonous caterpillars. I am told the ones with three humps on their back are poisonous. I googled these caterpillars and google did not say it was poisonous. I’m going to stay away from it anyway.

Another “uglies”. The shit that blows out of the Oak Tree on windy days. Can’t even sit on the deck. The winds are bad this year. Almost every day, wind gusts are 25 mph or higher. We cannot put out our awnings. And the pollen is very high. As soon as the pollen ends, I will be out scrubbing the deck.

Note: none of these “uglies” can be controlled by the park management. This is just Florida in the winter.

Another “good”. Ashley is a terrific manager. She is creative and she is like a daughter to me. Unlike some of her other work camping staff, I do anything she asks without questioning her. The Activity Office is my happy place. I love making friends. I put in my weekly hours plus more. Ashley appreciates me and look what she bought for me.

The instructions to put this together were horrible, but a little common sense and determination helped me put it together and attach it to my phone app.

Here is one page of instructions for putting the bird feeder together. Note: There isn’t a button used to unlock the roof. No button to push.

But I put it together and highly recommend this bird feeder. I cannot wait to actually see a bird on it.

May the light of faith guide your journey. Thank you for being a part of mine. I look forward to sharing more with you in future posts. God Bless and Stay Safe!
