On Our Way to Florida

All summer long, the weather has been sunny, hot, and dry. But when we were getting ready to leave our campground in Ohio, it rained off and on for the few days we were preparing to go, and the morning we drove out of our campground.

We usually only travel three to four hours a day. We are never in a hurry. We stayed at some really nice parks on our trip south this fall.

Our first night stop is at a campground in Lancaster, Ohio. Sept 25

Our site is concrete with a great view of their lake. I took this picture from the inside of our Truck Camper, which I will call “Our Small Home”.

Our next stop is The Farm RV Resort in London, KY.

Sept 26

The travel day on our way to The Farm RV resort was long due to several traffic areas.

When we finally got here, our site is concrete and they have a snack restaurant. We ordered food and it was good.

Our next stop is Winding Waters Riverfront RV Resort.

Sept. 27 & 28

We stayed here two nights. I spent some time at the pool.

HoHum RV Park

Sept. 29 & 30

I’ve been wanting to stay here for a few years. We finally were able to stay got two nights. it was so relaxing, and the views were awesome.

October 1st

We were initially going to drive straight to Fort Pierce from Ho Hum, but it was over a six-hour drive, so I decided to stay at a resort halfway from Ho Hum to Fort Pierce. We stayed at Sportsman Cove. Our site was very nice but ever other site in the park was crappy. I’m glad we got to stay at the nicest site, and the price for one night was very reasonable. I’m so happy we stayed here.

As the campfire fades and the stars take center stage, I hope this post inspires you to pack your gear, chase the horizon, and make your own trail memories.

As I wrap up this trip, I can’t help but feel grateful for every moment spent under the open sky. Thank God for my safe travel and for the beauty of the journey itself. Until next time—happy trails!

Not a small home at all. It’s a home filled with love and adventure. You have the entire country, just outside your door. We are all thankful to God that we have the health and wealth to enjoy this lifestyle. You, my girl, bring sunshine everywhere you go. I am so grateful to have you as my fellow nomad and friend. 🥰🥰
